Meeting Room Booking System
The meeting room booking system is a website developed for
shortleadmeetings.com.
It is completely database driven and allows venues to advertise their meeting room
availability which can then be searched by bookers looking for locations.
Venues must first register on the site and they are then automatically issued with
a secure username and password. They can then logon to the system to add details
of their venues, meeting rooms and meeting room availability.
Bookers can search the available meeting rooms with a series of search parameters
including location, number of delegates, room layout and price to see a list of the
available rooms. They can then provisionally book the room with a single click which
emails their requirements directly to the venue.
The site is written in ASP.NET with AJAX extensions and there is a MySQL database
storing all of the information and processing the venue access. Graphic design was
undertaken by Victor Consulting as was most of the copy.
